DOGE Comeback? New Evidence Says YES

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

According to the official, the office hasn’t gone dark at all. Its core staff is still working and pushing government-wide “efficiency” programs from inside the federal machinery.

Here’s What DOGE Is Still Doing Inside the Government

Instead of operating like a traditional DC bureaucracy with one physical headquarters, DOGE functions like a distributed network. And according to insiders, that network is still deep in the system, moving forward on major policy projects.

Trump Survivor Coin

One senior official pointed to several ongoing operations, saying DOGE continues to drive efforts such as “improving VA appointment management with integrated scheduling, check-ins, notification and after-visit support.” The same official said the team is also “advancing responsible AI government-wide through partnership with GSA.”

They also highlighted continued work on overhauling America’s visa system to handle international athletic events, noting DOGE is still “transforming the non-immigrant visa process to support Olympic and World Cup travel with a more reliable, adaptable digital platform.”

And education isn’t off the table either. According to the source, DOGE remains involved in “supporting 18 million students by modernizing the FAFSA system and implementing major student loan and Pell Grant changes.”

These claims make it clear that, despite the public confusion, the agency hasn’t stopped operating at all.

DOGE Fires Back at the Media

Once Reuters’ report started circulating, DOGE blasted the claim on X, stating it was simply false. The agency’s Acting Administrator, Amy Gleason, then reinforced the message on LinkedIn, assuring the public that the office was still very much running.

Two senior administration officials later told the Caller that the misunderstanding stems from how DOGE has always functioned. While the public assumed it was a stand-alone agency, insiders say its operations have always been scattered throughout the government, with DOGE staff coordinating from a central hub.

What Happened After Elon Musk Left

The confusion grew even bigger after Elon Musk’s departure months ago. Since he played a major role in shaping DOGE during the Trump administration, many assumed his exit automatically ended the agency’s influence.

But one senior official told the Caller that the Musk-era priorities didn’t vanish. Instead, the policies he spearheaded were absorbed by the proper departments and continue to guide parts of the administration’s agenda. OPM still handles workforce planning, while the Office of Management and Budget continues to oversee budgets and regulatory cuts.

A “Network,” Not a Building

Another official described DOGE not as a traditional office but as a cluster of reform-minded staff placed across multiple agencies. Many of the people the public thought were DOGE employees were actually on loan from their home departments.

Some of the small number who were official DOGE staff have since moved to other cabinet agencies, including the Department of War, where in-house DOGE-style teams continue the mission internally.

Bottom Line

DOGE may not look like a typical Washington agency anymore. But according to people inside the system, it’s still operating, still pushing federal reforms, and still embedded across Biden’s government. The reports of its death? Premature — and apparently very wrong.
