Jay Jones, once considered a safe bet to reclaim the attorney general seat for Democrats, is now facing political freefall. Leaked messages from 2022 revealed that Jones expressed a desire to “put two bullets” in the head of then-House Speaker Todd Gilbert and his wife, Jennifer.

Even more disturbing, Jones allegedly extended his threats to the couple’s children, calling them “breeding little fascists.”
