President Donald Trump has officially found his champion to challenge Rep. Thomas Massie — and he’s not holding back.
After months of blasting the Kentucky congressman for what he calls disloyal and obstructionist behavior, Trump announced he’s throwing his weight behind Captain Ed Gallrein, a decorated Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and fifth-generation Kentucky farmer.

Back in March, Trump warned that Massie had become a “grandstander” who votes against nearly every key Republican priority. The former president publicly vowed to lead the effort to remove him, comparing him to one of his most infamous enemies.
“Congressman Thomas Massie, of beautiful Kentucky, is an automatic ‘NO’ vote on just about everything, despite the fact that he has always voted for Continuing Resolutions in the past. HE SHOULD BE PRIMARIED, and I will lead the charge against him. He’s just another GRANDSTANDER, who’s too much trouble, and not worth the fight,” Trump said.
