The mask finally slipped.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., just said what many Americans already suspected — Democrats are celebrating political gain while the country suffers through a government shutdown.
Speaking to Punchbowl News, Schumer smugly declared, “Every day gets better for us,” boasting that Democrats had planned for this moment and were reaping the rewards. He reportedly added, “We knew that health care would be the focal point on Sept. 30,” a statement that instantly set Washington on fire.
White House Fires Back
The Trump White House wasted no time blasting Schumer’s comments as proof Democrats are rooting for chaos.
“Chuck Schumer just said the quiet part out loud: Democrats are gleefully inflicting pain on the American people over their push to give illegal aliens free health care,” Deputy Press Secretary Abigail Jackson told Fox News Digital.
She didn’t mince words.
