It’s the kind of video that would be hard to believe if it weren’t captured on police bodycam — a senior Virginia prosecutor, laughing nervously as cops confront him for drinking beer behind a strip mall on a weekday morning.
The man in the footage is Eric Clingan, a Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Fairfax County, Virginia — and his behavior perfectly sums up the chaos inside the Democrat-run prosecutor’s office of Steve Descano.
A Shocking Scene at 8 A.M.
According to police reports obtained by WJLA, officers were called to a Centreville strip mall around 8 a.m. on August 8 after witnesses reported a man “drinking beer and smoking cigarettes” in public.
When officers arrived, they immediately recognized the man as one of Fairfax County’s top prosecutors.
“Are you an attorney?” one of the officers asked.
“I am,” Clingan replied.
Then, realizing how bad it looked, he chuckled nervously and said, “Uh oh.”
