The nation is in shock after the brutal assassination of conservative leader Charlie Kirk — and now President Donald Trump is calling for the ultimate punishment.
During an explosive interview on Fox News Friday night, Trump revealed the suspected killer had been captured after a massive manhunt and didn’t hold back on what he believed should happen next. He made it clear: the death penalty is on the table.
Authorities confirmed the suspect as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson. He was arrested after a tense 33-hour manhunt that ended when his father convinced him to turn himself in. Police say Robinson ambushed Kirk at Utah Valley University, shooting and killing the conservative icon in cold blood.
He now faces charges of aggravated murder, with prosecutors weighing additional counts as the investigation moves forward.
