Cold-Blooded Killer Finally Talks—His Excuse Sparks Fury!

The man accused of savagely taking the life of a young Ukrainian woman in Charlotte, North Carolina, is now trying to explain away his horrifying crime—and his excuse is beyond outrageous.

According to authorities, 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska, who had recently fled the chaos of war in Ukraine to start a new life in the United States, was viciously murdered on August 22 at the East/West Boulevard light rail station. Police said she suffered multiple stab wounds before being pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials quickly identified the suspect as 34-year-old Decarlos Brown Jr., a man who, according to records, never should have been walking the streets in the first place. Brown was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, but the case only grew more disturbing as details emerged.

Surveillance footage obtained by WBTV last week shows the moment Brown carried out his brutal attack. More video has since surfaced online, painting an even grimmer picture of the unprovoked slaughter.
