The FBI’s second-in-command, Dan Bongino, is turning heads after unveiling the results of a massive nationwide sweep that netted thousands of arrests and exposed shocking details buried from the Comey years.
In a post on X, Bongino revealed that the bureau’s “Operation Summer Heat” has been running since June and has already taken down violent gangs, uncovered fraud, and taken illegal weapons off the streets.
“I want to provide you another update on your @FBI’s Operation Summer Heat, which continues to deliver results as we strive to protect the communities we serve. By uniting with our communities and law enforcement partners, we stay prepared and resilient together,” Bongino announced.
Violent Crimes and Gang Networks Targeted
Bongino pointed to specific busts across the country. In New York, FBI teams arrested a suspect tied to a gas station robbery where an elderly clerk was forced to face down a criminal.
