Cracker Barrel is in hot water once again—this time not only for its abrupt logo change but also for a newly exposed sponsorship that has conservatives fuming. Less than a day after issuing a carefully worded apology for redesigning its iconic branding, the chain is facing outrage over its involvement in Nashville Pride 2024.
Conservative activists online uncovered that the restaurant quietly supported the left-leaning city’s annual Pride festival, an event where children were in attendance. Videos circulating on X (formerly Twitter) show drag performers and men in skimpy outfits dancing in the streets and blowing kisses into cameras. The clips ignited criticism from longtime Cracker Barrel fans who feel the company has lost touch with its customer base.
This wasn’t a one-off either. Just last year, Cracker Barrel promoted Pride month by decorating its Nashville restaurant with rainbow-colored rocking chairs—an image that also sparked a backlash at the time.
Trump advisor Alex Bruesewitz didn’t hold back, blasting the chain for turning its back on its audience. “Cracker Barrel’s leadership is totally clueless! They have no respect for their customers!” he wrote.
