Former FBI Director James Comey just couldn’t resist taking another swipe at President Donald Trump. In a five-minute Substack post, the disgraced ex-bureau chief veered from politics into pop culture — bizarrely crediting singer Taylor Swift for helping him cope with Trump’s continued influence in American politics.

In his post, Comey described Trump as if he were still president, ranting: “Donald Trump is still President and still humiliating America on a national stage, standing next to Vladimir Putin. It’s like a dream—a bad dream you can’t wake up from.”
Instead of focusing on world events or national security — things you might expect from a former FBI director — Comey fixated on his personal fanboy experience with Taylor Swift. He bragged about attending her concerts, joining a “family Swiftie group chat,” and mowing the lawn while listening to her songs.
