In a move that’s sparking outrage among conservatives across the country, Illinois Democrat Governor JB Pritzker is now openly hosting nearly 30 Texas House Democrats who fled their state in an attempt to derail a redistricting vote that favors Republicans and President Donald Trump’s vision for America.
These Texas Democrats, who have shown no respect for the legislative process, abandoned their responsibilities and crossed state lines in a politically motivated stunt. Their goal? To kill a redistricting plan expected to carve out five new congressional seats leaning Republican.
Rather than stay and fight with dignity, these lawmakers chose to run—again. It’s not the first time they’ve pulled this kind of disappearing act. They attempted a similar walkout back in 2021 and failed miserably. Now, they’re repeating the same shameful tactic in 2025, this time with Pritzker’s full support.
Reports confirm the group is now being sheltered in Chicago, where the far-left governor has welcomed them with open arms. According to NBC, Pritzker has directed his staff to provide logistical support, including hotel accommodations and meeting spaces, to the rogue legislators.
