At the heart of this firestorm is a stash of evidence handed to the FBI — eight thumb drives from a mysterious source identified only as “T1.” The drives reportedly included sensitive data, including emails belonging to none other than President Obama.
“Examples of U.S. victim information that the analysts observed during this review included former President Barack Obama’s emails,” the declassified appendix states.
If that sounds like a national security emergency, what followed was worse. The FBI never fully examined the first five thumb drives, according to the annex. “Witnesses told us that the FBI has never comprehensively reviewed thumb drives 1 through 5,” it reads.
Why would they ignore this?
A buried footnote adds fuel to the fire: top-level meetings were held about these very drives, including one on Sept. 20, 2016, and another on Oct. 20, 2016. Attendees included then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and White House Counsel W. Neil Eggleston. So the White House knew. The FBI knew. And yet… they shelved it.
“Extreme lack of effort and due diligence,” is how Sen. Grassley described it. But he didn’t stop there.
He slammed the Comey-era FBI for turning a blind eye to the Clinton investigation — while at the same time launching an all-out probe into the debunked Trump-Russia hoax. “Comey FBI’s negligent approach and perhaps intentional lack of effort in the Clinton investigation,” Grassley said, stood in “sharp contrast” to its aggressive pursuit of Trump.
On social media, the reaction was swift and scathing. Sean Davis of The Federalist put it plainly: the FBI “deliberately sandbagged the Clinton investigation and refused to take basic investigative steps that would’ve revealed how seriously Clinton compromised national security.”
Another X user added, the annex showed “that Comey and the Obama FBI intentionally ignored thumb drives during Hillary email investigation, because they had emails on them from OBAMA.”
It’s not just political theater — this could be the smoking gun.
Why would Obama’s emails show up on thumb drives tied to an alleged foreign hack? Why were those drives never properly examined? And why did the FBI meet with White House lawyers if this was all routine?
For many, the answer is clear: the Obama administration had every incentive to bury the investigation. Not only was Clinton’s fate on the line, but Obama himself may have been exposed by what those drives contained.
Tulsi Gabbard’s explosive claim that the Obama team fabricated the entire Russia narrative seems less like speculation and more like a piece of a broader cover-up. And if Obama’s fingerprints are found on evidence the FBI actively ignored — all to protect Hillary — this could become the biggest scandal in modern American history.
What else is hiding in those drives? And who in Washington knew the truth all along?
One thing’s for sure: this story is far from over.
