Judge Halts Deportation of MS-13 Defendant
In a decision that’s left many scratching their heads, federal magistrate judge Barbara Holmes agreed to delay the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran national identified as a member of the notorious MS-13 gang.
Garcia’s legal team convinced the court to hold him longer in U.S. custody rather than risk him being deported under the Trump administration’s renewed crackdown on violent criminals.
