Democrat firebrand Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) thought she had crafted the perfect political zinger. Instead, her attempt to smear former First Lady Melania Trump detonated in her face during a heated House Judiciary Committee hearing, exposing just how little she understands about U.S. immigration law—and how quickly receipts can surface to prove her wrong.
Crockett, known for tossing rhetorical grenades in committee rooms, was hammering away at President Trump’s immigration policies when she abruptly turned her sights on his wife, aiming to label Republicans as hypocrites.
“Since we’re talking about integrity, I’m confused as to why my Republican colleagues aren’t talking about the lack of integrity when it comes to the president’s family’s visas,” she whined.
She then tried to belittle Melania Trump’s professional credentials, sneering at her modeling career and suggesting she scammed her way into the country on an elite visa reserved for geniuses.
