President Donald Trump issued a sharp rebuke to Senator Lindsey Graham and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo following their recent trips to Ukraine, accusing them of encouraging the war to continue instead of working toward peace.
Trump made the comments after arriving in New Jersey, when a reporter questioned him about Graham and Pompeo’s activity on Ukrainian soil.
“Lindsey Graham and Mike Pompeo were on the ground in Ukraine, trying to provoke Ukrainians to keep fighting. What do you think of that?” the reporter asked.
Trump didn’t hold back, firing off a clear warning:
“People have to be very careful with what they say. Their mouth could get them into a lot of trouble.”
