On July 13, 2024, President Trump stood on stage at the Butler Farm Show Grounds when shots rang out. From a rooftop about 450 feet away, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire with deadly intent.
Crooks had a clear shot. He pulled the trigger. Then, in a twist that can only be called divine intervention, Trump turned his head at the last possible moment. The bullet tore through his right ear instead of ending his life.
