At the center of the storm is a growing inquiry into the use of “autopen” — a mechanical device that mimics a person’s signature — allegedly used to authorize critical documents without Biden’s direct involvement. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) is spearheading the probe.
The Department of Justice is reportedly taking the matter seriously, with Pardon Attorney Ed Martin overseeing part of the review. While Martin acknowledged that autopen use isn’t illegal by default, the implications of how and when it was used could be deeply troubling.
In a statement, Martin said the technology is often used “when a large volume of documents need to be signed.” However, a damning analysis from the Heritage Foundation concluded that Biden likely relied on the device to rubber-stamp almost every major directive during his presidency — excluding, notably, the letter in which he withdrew from the 2024 race.
The fallout is already reaching into high levels of the previous administration. David Sacks, the White House’s AI chief at the time, claimed Senator Elizabeth Warren was actively involved in directing autopen activity. “Elizabeth Warren controlled the autopen during that administration,” Sacks alleged, adding that she had a “pathological hatred of the crypto community” and used her influence to push policies driving crypto businesses offshore.
Further adding fuel to the fire, watchdog group Power the Future released a report this week concluding there was “no evidence” Biden was even aware of sweeping executive orders tied to climate policy. One such order committed the U.S. government to reaching net-zero emissions by 2050 — yet Biden never once publicly mentioned it.
That report raises new questions about whether the former president was actually involved in major policy decisions at all, or if his administration was quietly run by staffers and unelected bureaucrats.
Health concerns are also under the microscope after Biden was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. House investigators have called on Dr. Kevin O’Connor — Biden’s longtime physician — and other aides to testify about what the administration knew, and when they knew it.
Dr. David Shusterman, a board-certified urologist, expressed serious concerns about the timeline. He noted that metastatic prostate cancer typically indicates a long period of undiagnosed illness. “This is consistent with any patient who hasn’t had medical attention in 10 years, presents to an emergency room with bone pain, and then they find that it’s metastatic prostate cancer,” he said.
As new layers continue to peel back, one thing is becoming clear: the public may have been kept in the dark for years about the true state of Joe Biden’s health, cognitive ability, and who was really in charge at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
The American people deserve answers. And accountability may soon follow.
