President Joe Biden’s Memorial Day appearance in Delaware quickly descended into chaos — and CNN made sure viewers didn’t see all of it.
During his first public remarks since disclosing a cancer diagnosis, the 82-year-old president shocked reporters and viewers alike when he lashed out at journalists, veered off-script, and even threatened violence against CNN anchor Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson.
After a solemn ceremony meant to honor fallen soldiers, Biden hijacked the moment to once again shift the spotlight to himself. In a speech meant to unify, the president bizarrely referenced the death of his son Beau, implying he died while serving in Iraq — a claim that has repeatedly been debunked. In truth, Beau Biden tragically passed away from brain cancer in 2015 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland.
