For years, Tapper downplayed concerns about Biden’s health — even attacking conservatives like Lara Trump who dared to speak out. Now, as the 2024 election nears, he’s promoting a book that admits many of those conservative warnings were accurate all along.
Cuomo didn’t hold back, blasting the CNN host and his co-author for playing dumb.
“It could just as easily be a picture of the writers of this book who are pretending they didn’t see and hear what everybody else did!” he said, mocking the book’s cover, which shows Biden with both hands over his face.
Cuomo then floated what many conservatives have been saying for months — that the media’s protection of Biden was never about ignorance. It was about politics.
“It’s a cover for something that’s much more serious to me than Biden’s age and stage ever were: The reality that many in the media knew damn well that Biden was losing it, but they played it down because they wanted Trump to lose more. The original sin is not hiding Biden’s age and stage, but hiding this preference,” he said.

And Cuomo isn’t the only one exposing Tapper’s backpedaling.
Megyn Kelly also slammed Tapper earlier this week during his appearance on her show. She grilled the CNN anchor on why he never asked Biden about the infamous moment when the president tried to shake hands with Rep. Jackie Walorski — a congresswoman who had died a full month earlier.
That embarrassing blunder happened just days before Tapper sat down with Biden for a softball interview. Yet Tapper never brought it up.
Now, Tapper’s book admits what millions of Americans have long suspected: Biden’s handlers were deeply worried. According to Original Sin, there were real fears among staffers that Biden might end up in a wheelchair if he were re-elected. Some even said he started forgetting the names of senior aides during key meetings.
And questions surrounding Biden’s physical health are far from over.
His longtime physician — a close family friend and former Army doctor — is under growing scrutiny after Biden was diagnosed with a slow-moving prostate cancer. Many, including President Donald Trump, are now asking how a supposedly careful medical team could miss such a diagnosis until this late stage.
Despite Tapper’s attempts to recast himself as a truth-teller who was “deceived” by Team Biden, his critics see a very different story — one of a legacy media figure desperately trying to salvage credibility after years of gaslighting the American people.
While Tapper continues his apology-filled book tour, more voices are rising to say what many already knew: the cover-up wasn’t just about Biden — it was about pushing Trump out at any cost.
And now, with the 2024 election looming, the media spin machine may be unraveling faster than Biden’s approval ratings.
