South Dakota Governor and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem left no room for ambiguity in a recent showdown with one of the Democrat Party’s most vocal defenders of open borders. In a public and fiery confrontation, Noem unloaded on Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY), slamming him for siding with a violent illegal alien over American families.

The flashpoint came during a congressional hearing when Goldman aggressively questioned Noem about the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal immigrant with confirmed ties to the notorious MS-13 gang.
“What steps have you taken to return Mr. Abrego Garcia?” Goldman demanded.
It was the latest attempt by Democrats to revive the so-called “Maryland man” narrative — a debunked talking point centered around Garcia, who had been found by two immigration court judges to be a member of a terrorist criminal enterprise. Despite an immigration judge ruling that Garcia could be removed to any country other than El Salvador, the Trump administration deported him to his native country — a move that triggered lawsuits and leftist outrage.
