With the swipe of a pen, Judge Whitehead has put American lives at risk — all to score political points and satisfy Biden’s radical open-borders agenda.
Back in February, The Gateway Pundit was among the first to report that Whitehead had already blocked President Trump’s initial attempts to halt the refugee resettlement program. This same program, infamously exploited for years by Democrat administrations and certain activist groups, continues to drain taxpayer dollars while exposing Americans to avoidable dangers.
Whitehead brazenly accused Trump of trying to wipe out the refugee program altogether, stating in his decision that Trump’s actions amounted to an “effective nullification of congressional will.”
“The president has substantial discretion … to suspend refugee admissions,” Whitehead admitted. “But that authority is not limitless.”
Thankfully, in March, a three-judge panel from the far-left 9th Circuit Court of Appeals — surprisingly — stepped in and temporarily blocked Whitehead’s February ruling. This move allowed President Trump to continue his justified pause on new refugee admissions, while the administration worked through legal appeals.
However, there was still a catch. The Trump administration was required to complete the approval process for refugees who had been in the pipeline prior to January 20. The 9th Circuit clearly noted that Trump’s executive order did not impact refugees already previously cleared.
The plaintiffs behind this sham lawsuit included the usual cast of leftist organizations: the International Refugee Assistance Project, the Jewish refugee group HIAS, Lutheran Community Services Northwest, and several individual refugees and family members. They outrageously argued that Trump’s order would somehow prevent them from providing “services” to incoming refugees — never mind the will of American citizens who demand secure borders.
President Trump’s legal team rightly fired back, emphasizing that the president holds clear constitutional authority to deny entry to any foreign nationals who would pose a threat to American interests. The law is crystal clear, yet activist judges like Whitehead continue to twist it for their own purposes.

In January, President Trump signed Executive Order 14155, titled “Realigning the United States Refugee Admissions Program.” This order, effective January 27, 2025, officially suspended the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP). It not only paused the admission of new refugees but also cut off federal funding to any organization assisting refugees, even those already inside the country.
The order will remain in effect until President Trump determines that resuming the program would actually benefit — not harm — America’s interests.
Judge Whitehead’s reckless decision proves once again that the Left will stop at nothing to sabotage America’s security. Fortunately, President Trump has shown he’s willing to fight back — and millions of Americans are ready to stand with him.
