Raskin’s rhetoric echoes the growing authoritarian tone seen among leftist elites — accusing their opponents of being authoritarians, while threatening them with political punishment.

This isn’t Raskin’s first time defending radicals or targeting Trump. As the son of Marcus Raskin, a known Marxist academic and founder of the Institute for Policy Studies, Jamie Raskin has carried on his father’s legacy of radical activism cloaked in the language of democracy.
Recently, Raskin has focused his outrage on Trump-era immigration enforcement policies — especially those targeting violent illegal alien gang members.
“I call on my colleagues to demand that the Trump Administration comply with all judicial orders while appealing whichever ones they want to appeal, and to demand the return of people unlawfully taken to El Salvador on that so-called plane full of ‘gang bangers,’” Raskin said in a committee hearing.
Yes, you read that right. Raskin wants violent gang members — many of whom were lawfully deported due to their criminal activity — brought back to the United States. Apparently, the constitutional rights of American citizens come second to foreign nationals with rap sheets.
Raskin has also taken aim at critics of activist judges, demanding that Trump supporters tone down their rhetoric while his own side pushes inflammatory threats like his own.
“I especially call on them today to denounce all violent threats, doxxing, online vilification, and threats against our judges,” he said. “This is the Judiciary Committee of the United States, and we should act like it.”
Ironically, while Raskin decries threats against liberal judges, he’s simultaneously laying the groundwork for retribution against fellow Americans for their political beliefs.

This all fits into a disturbing pattern: the Left is not just trying to win elections. They’re signaling they want to criminalize dissent.
