But Talwani’s partisan roots are only part of the story.
What’s really catching attention is her documented connection to the Chinese Progressive Association (CPA)—a group with a long, well-established history of pushing pro-Communist Chinese messaging right here on American soil.
Winters reported that the CPA “has deep ties to the CCP,” noting that it was “founded by operatives with Maoist backgrounds.” One of those founders, Fay Wong, openly praised the Chinese Communist revolution and even called it “very inspiring.”
Even more shocking: Just one year before being nominated to the federal bench by Obama, Talwani accepted an award from that very same organization. In 2012, the CPA gave her its “Workers Justice Award,” which she still proudly lists on her official resume more than a decade later.
In her recent 41-page opinion blocking the Trump team’s plan to roll back the CHNV program, Talwani justified her ruling by warning that migrants could be forced to self-deport if the policy were undone.
“If their parole status is allowed to lapse, Plaintiffs will be faced with two unfavorable options: continue following the law and leave the country on their own, or await removal proceedings,” she wrote. “For some Plaintiffs, leaving will also cause family separation.”
Critics say Talwani’s ruling isn’t about immigration law—it’s about politics. Her legal record has consistently mirrored progressive ideals, especially in cases involving labor unions, open borders, and climate regulations.
Her deep personal involvement in Democrat campaigns—particularly for left-wing icons like Elizabeth Warren and Barack Obama—is sparking alarm that the judiciary is no longer impartial, but instead being weaponized to obstruct conservative policy.
