Van Hollen Caught? Logan Act BOMBSHELL Drops!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

“Despite the overwhelming evidence, Senator Van Hollen decided that he would use Senate funds to fly to El Salvador and advocate for an enemy of the United States,” the letter continued.

The American Accountability Foundation didn’t stop there. The organization is demanding that the Senate Ethics Committee launch a formal investigation into Van Hollen’s conduct. They’re also urging Senate leadership to cut off any federal funds that may have supported this trip.

“Van Hollen was in El Salvador meeting with leaders of the Salvadorian government to attempt to secure Mr. Garcia’s release,” the letter states. “It is hard to imagine a more hostile intrusion into U.S. foreign policy than attempting to smuggle a foreign enemy combatant into the United States.”

Kilmar Abrego Garcia, 29, had been living in Maryland before being deported last month under President Trump’s renewed use of the Alien and Enemies Act—a centuries-old measure allowing the removal of foreign nationals deemed threats to national security. He was one of around 260 individuals removed as part of this operation.

Efforts to continue these deportations have since been blocked by Democrat-appointed judges and, more recently, the U.S. Supreme Court—actions that many on the right view as dangerously undermining national security.

Even House Democrats tried to get in on the action. Reps. Robert Garcia (D-CA) and Maxwell Alejandro Frost (D-FL) requested to visit El Salvador to meet with Abrego Garcia—but were swiftly shut down.

“If you also wish to meet with him, you can spend your own money,” wrote House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY). “But I will not approve a single dime of taxpayer funds for use on the excursion you have requested.”

While Democrats portray the visit as a humanitarian effort, critics say it’s nothing short of sabotage against lawful deportations and national security policy. To them, Van Hollen’s trip reeks of partisan interference and sets a dangerous precedent.

At a time when America is grappling with the consequences of open borders, lenient judges, and politicized law enforcement, one senator’s rogue mission to El Salvador is now a flashpoint. The Logan Act may have collected dust for over 200 years—but Chris Van Hollen might be the one to finally test its limits.

This controversy is far from over. If ethics investigators decide to act—and if the Department of Justice finds cause—Van Hollen could face not just public scrutiny but criminal charges.

And if that happens, Democrats will have a lot more than damage control to worry about.
