“They just lost it,” said Marta Garcia, one of the restaurant’s owners. “I came in when I heard what was going on, and I was able to pull off one of her attackers. When I finally got them separated, one of them then turned to me and started swinging.”
Instead of accepting that they weren’t entitled to a refund after finishing nearly all their food, the suspects began trashing the restaurant. The situation spiraled even further out of control when the waitress threatened to call the police. That’s when the assault turned brutal.
The waitress suffered serious injuries, including a broken finger, deep bruises to her arms and head, and visible trauma. Surveillance video captured the horrifying scene, which has since gone viral and left viewers stunned at the level of savagery these two women exhibited.
Despite the clear video evidence, the attackers remain at large. Local police have yet to make any arrests, raising more concerns about the lack of consequences for violent criminals in the Windy City. The restaurant’s owner, furious and determined, made a firm promise: they won’t rest until justice is served.
“I want them caught — whatever it takes,” Garcia vowed, echoing the frustration felt by countless small business owners across Chicago who are fed up with unchecked crime and fading police presence.
WATCH:
The assault is yet another black mark on a city that continues to spiral under failed leadership. Crime in Chicago has reached dangerous new highs, with brazen attacks like this one becoming disturbingly common. Innocent workers, families, and small business owners are paying the price.
This was not a back-alley encounter or late-night skirmish — this happened in a neighborhood restaurant in broad daylight. It’s clear that emboldened criminals no longer fear any consequences, and hardworking Americans are the ones suffering the fallout.

The El Taco Azteca team is now picking up the pieces, supporting their injured staff member, and calling for the public’s help in identifying the two violent suspects.
“Everyone should feel safe coming to work. No one should have to go through this,” Garcia added.
But in Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago — where criminal leniency is the norm and law enforcement is under siege — safety has become a luxury.
This restaurant, like many others, now faces the bitter truth: they’re on their own.
If you recognize the suspects or have any information, authorities are urging you to step forward. Justice for this young woman depends on it.
