And that’s exactly what happened in the now-viral video.
As Topher calmly spoke with a group of demonstrators trying to shut down the event, one masked agitator — dressed in typical leftist cosplay, complete with a surgical mask and cat ears — abruptly hurled water in his face mid-sentence. Topher was in the middle of saying, “You have your opinions, just because –” when the unprovoked attack occurred.
To her credit, one nearby protester immediately responded, “Don’t do that. You should not have done that,” but the damage was done.
The clip is just 12 seconds long, but it says everything about the state of political discourse on today’s college campuses. Topher, visibly shocked, managed to keep his composure, showing more restraint than most people would in his shoes. He didn’t retaliate. He didn’t lash out. He stood firm — a stark contrast to the emotional outbursts from the mob surrounding him.
Now imagine this scenario in reverse: a white conservative drenching a black liberal speaker during a peaceful conversation. The media would go into overdrive, pundits would be foaming at the mouth, and riots would likely erupt in cities across America. CNN would clear its primetime schedule for round-the-clock outrage. But since the victim here is a black conservative, the silence from the mainstream media is deafening.
This is the double standard we’ve come to expect.
The modern left has abandoned its once-touted principles of tolerance and free expression. What we see now are radicalized college students treating conservative speech as violence — while justifying actual violence as “protest.” The result? Chaos, censorship, and the slow death of the First Amendment on America’s campuses.
Purdue isn’t alone. Just last week at UC Davis, another TPUSA “Prove Me Wrong” event was totally derailed. Antifa thugs in black masks raided the setup, trashed the table, stole equipment, and fled like cowards. Police were present — and did absolutely nothing. They walked behind the masked criminals like chaperones on a field trip, offering no protection whatsoever to the conservatives under siege.
This isn’t just student activism. This is ideological warfare. And college administrators are either too scared or too complicit to stop it.
It’s time for action.
Just Released: Trump White House Collector’s Bobblehead!
President Trump has repeatedly warned about the Marxist infiltration of America’s education system. If universities refuse to uphold the Constitution, then they shouldn’t be receiving taxpayer dollars. Period. Federal funding must come with accountability — and that means protecting all students, not just the ones who align with radical ideologies.
It’s long past time to rein in these academic indoctrination centers before they fully morph into breeding grounds for authoritarianism.
The First Amendment isn’t optional. And if the left keeps trying to crush it, America will need strong leadership — like President Trump — to defend it.
