The Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division has undergone a dramatic personnel shakeup under President Donald Trump — and Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon is making no apologies for it.
Hundreds of attorneys have departed the powerful DOJ division as its leadership redirects resources toward the Trump administration’s priorities, including challenges to DEI programs, voter-roll maintenance, religious discrimination and antisemitism.
Dhillon put the scale of that turnover into unusually blunt terms during a recent interview with Kurt Schlichter, who was filling in on the Hugh Hewitt Show.
