Jimenez crossed the southern border on May 3, 2023. He wasn’t detained. He wasn’t vetted. He was simply released into the U.S.
Trivino-Cruz entered on October 9, 2024, and Bellorin-Guzman on January 6, 2025 — both using Biden’s infamous CBP One app, a taxpayer-funded tool critics say works like “Uber for illegal immigration.”
Their rampage began at a Deluxe Inn, just a mile from where Morales would later be murdered. According to police, two of the suspects forced their way into a woman’s room at gunpoint, stripped her, assaulted her, and stole her jewelry, money, and ID.
During questioning, Jimenez boasted that they had committed more than 25 similar crimes, deliberately targeting prostitutes because they assumed the victims wouldn’t contact police. This was calculated predation, not random violence — and Biden’s border chaos made it possible.
Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin condemned the suspects in no uncertain terms:
“Three depraved criminal illegal aliens from Venezuela were released into the U.S. under the Biden administration and are now facing capital murder and robbery charges for shooting and killing a man at a motel in Dallas County, Texas.”
She praised law enforcement for ending the spree:
“Thanks to the brave men and women of ICE law enforcement, these criminal illegal aliens’ crime spree is OVER. These vicious criminals have no place in the U.S.”
Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed detainers on all three suspects, ensuring they’ll be deported once their sentences are served. Their bonds are steep: $1.5 million for Jimenez, $2.25 million for Bellorin-Guzman, and $3.255 million for Trivino-Cruz.
McLaughlin was clear about Trump’s zero-tolerance stance:
“ICE has lodged a detainer to ensure they are removed from our country after they face justice for their heinous crimes.”
This case is a brutal reminder that Biden’s immigration agenda has nothing to do with compassion and everything to do with political theater.
These men weren’t refugees seeking safety. They were predators exploiting America’s open doors to commit violent crimes. Morales is dead. Another victim is left with lifelong trauma. And countless others could have been next.
Biden’s refusal to secure the border has already cost too many innocent lives. President Trump is working to restore order, but thousands of dangerous illegal aliens remain scattered across the country.
How many more families will suffer before Democrats admit their border policies are a complete disaster?
The answer should be zero. But as long as Biden’s failed system remains in place, the threat is far from over.
