Zelensky Calls Out Putin’s “Ultimatum” Offer!

In a bold move on Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed a permanent ceasefire to end the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, along with an offer to start negotiations. Despite this gesture, the proposal was quickly turned down by NATO, with Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg preempting Ukraine’s rejection with a dismissal from the alliance itself.

The proposal, detailed during a meeting with top officials from the Russian Foreign Ministry, demanded that Ukraine concede the entirety of four regions that previously voted to join Russia, and additionally, that Ukraine must agree never to pursue NATO membership. This stipulation was immediately met with criticism and was characterized by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as nothing more than an “ultimatum message.”
