Organized gangs of shoplifters have decimated San Francisco’s bustling neighborhoods, forcing a number of well-known chain establishments to close their doors. Prosecutors have given a large number of accused plea deals after months of investigations. According to Deputy Chief Raj Vaswani, the operation is expected to go for at least another month with the support of liberal Mayor London Breed.
