Donald Trump, a former president, has voiced worries about the possibility of being put behind bars, highlighting the potential effects this could have on the Democratic party.
On The Simon Conway Show, Trump was questioned about the possibility of going to jail and how he thought his fans would react.
“Is it something that concerns you of the people making sure that they don’t go out of their right mind if something like that happens, if that, for example, they do say — Jack Smith says, OK, I’m going to put Donald Trump in jail?’ the host asked.
“I think it’s a very dangerous thing to even talk about, because we do have a tremendously passionate group of voters, much more passion than they had in 2020 and much more passion than they had in 2016,” he said, adding, “I think it would be very dangerous.”
Donald Trump last week unleashed a vicious attack on Truth Social in response to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s intentions to indict him over his alleged involvement in the rioting on January 6.
“The Democrat prosecutors waited years to bring charges so that they could interfere with the 2024 presidential election. they are getting, however, big blowback!” he wrote.
Trump underscored the extraordinary issues that the American judicial system and legal profession are currently dealing with. He blamed Merrick Garland, Joe Biden, and Jack Smith, a prosecutor whom he characterized as dishonest and mentally disturbed, for these issues.
