On Sunday, Trump unveiled his pick with high praise:

Chronister, a decorated law enforcement officer with over three decades of service, has held leadership roles in domestic security and human trafficking councils. Trump highlighted Chronister’s dedication to combating drug trafficking, stating that as DEA Administrator, he would work to secure the border and stop the deadly flow of fentanyl.
