In Butler, Pennsylvania, a shocking incident at a pro-Trump rally has raised serious questions about the official narrative provided by authorities. Last Saturday, a sniper’s bullet narrowly missed former President Trump, instead fatally wounding retired firefighter Corey Comperatore and seriously injuring two other rally-goers.
Over the past week, the federal account of the events has come under intense scrutiny. The alleged shooter, Thomas Crooks, was found dead on the roof of the American Glass Research (AGR) warehouse in Butler. Controversy erupted when it was revealed that snipers stationed on the second floor of an adjacent building had a clear view of Crooks but did nothing to intervene.

The widely circulated story claims that a Butler County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to confront Crooks on the rooftop just before the shooting. According to this account, Crooks pointed a weapon at the deputy, who then fell off an eight-foot ladder, injuring his ankle and necessitating the use of a medical boot. The New York Post and other major outlets have reported this version of events.
However, the narrative took a hit when eyewitness Greg Smith, who was present at the rally, shared a different story with the Gateway Pundit. Smith stated, “I saw him [the sniper] right before the shots happened, and I didn’t see him turn around and confront anyone. I never saw that and it didn’t happen.” Smith and other witnesses reported that they saw no confrontation between the deputy and Crooks, contradicting the official claims.
