Who’s Replacing Kimmel? ABC Just Revealed It!

He didn’t stop at blaming conservatives for the tragedy. He went so far as to suggest the 22-year-old suspected killer was linked to MAGA supporters.

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel sneered.

As if that wasn’t enough, Kimmel mocked President Trump’s grieving process after the murder of someone he called a friend.

“This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he called a friend. This is how a 4-year-old mourns a goldfish, OK?” Kimmel joked.

Those comments sparked outrage not just from conservatives, but from regular Americans who couldn’t believe a comedian was ridiculing the death of a young activist.

Trump’s FCC Chairman Sends a Warning

The anger didn’t stop with the public. Washington took notice too.

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr joined Benny Johnson’s podcast and made it clear that Kimmel’s words wouldn’t be ignored.

“We can do this the easy way or the hard way,” Carr warned Disney and ABC executives. “These companies can find ways to change conduct, to take action, frankly, on Kimmel, or, you know, there’s going to be additional work for the FCC ahead.”

Carr reminded the public that broadcast licenses aren’t a free pass.

“What people don’t understand is that the broadcasters have a license granted by us at the FCC, and that comes with it an obligation to operate in the public interest,” he said.

Translation: fix it, or risk losing the license to broadcast altogether.

ABC Affiliates Revolt Against Kimmel

While Washington was applying pressure, the real shock came when local station owners revolted.

Nexstar Media Group, which owns 32 ABC affiliates across the country, announced they would no longer air Kimmel’s show.

“Mr. Kimmel’s comments about the death of Mr. Kirk are offensive and insensitive at a critical time in our national political discourse,” Nexstar President Andrew Alford declared.

He stressed that the move wasn’t about politics, but about representing the values of their communities.

“We do not believe they reflect the spectrum of opinions, views, or values of the local communities in which we are located,” Alford added.

Sinclair Broadcasting quickly followed. They not only dropped Kimmel but also announced a special in Charlie Kirk’s honor would take his time slot.

“Sinclair announced that ABC stations will air a special in remembrance of Charlie Kirk this Friday, during the Jimmy Kimmel Live! time slot,” the company revealed.

ABC’s Stunning Announcement

By Wednesday evening, the pressure became too great for Disney to ignore.

“Jimmy Kimmel Live will be pre-empted indefinitely,” an ABC spokesperson confirmed.

Instead of scrambling for a temporary host, ABC made the unprecedented decision to replace Kimmel’s late-night slot with a tribute special to Charlie Kirk.

Sinclair Broadcasting explained the move wasn’t just about programming—it was about accountability.

The company demanded Kimmel offer a direct apology to the Kirk family and even suggested he make a donation to Turning Point USA.

“Furthermore, Sinclair asks Mr. Kimmel to make a meaningful personal donation to the Kirk Family and Turning Point USA,” their statement read.

Why This Moment Matters

For years, late-night TV has been a safe haven for leftist comedians to attack conservatives without fear of reprisal. They mocked faith, family, and patriotism while corporate America happily cashed the advertising checks.

But this time, Kimmel picked the wrong target. Mocking a murder victim crossed a moral line that even Disney’s woke executives couldn’t defend.

The lesson here is simple: when real consequences enter the picture—regulatory power from Washington and financial pressure from affiliates—corporate America acts fast.

Nexstar and Sinclair didn’t suddenly embrace conservative values. They acted because protecting one bitter comedian wasn’t worth risking their FCC licenses and billions in deals.

And now, instead of listening to Jimmy Kimmel sneer about a young man’s death, millions of Americans will watch a tribute to Charlie Kirk—a symbol of decency replacing degeneracy.

That isn’t just a programming change. That’s justice.
