Hunter Biden admitted in court on Wednesday that he had collected more than $500,000 from a Chinese business that was given government assistance. Despite President Joe Biden’s repeated claims to the contrary, none of the Bidens have “made money from China.”
According to Fox News, Hunter entered a not guilty plea to two misdemeanor allegations of intentional failure to pay federal income taxes during his appearance in federal court.
When Noreika rejected the plea agreement, the chance to avoid jail time for two misdemeanors and a felony firearms charge was lost.
Hunter was extensively questioned about his overseas business ventures in China and Ukraine during a protracted judicial proceeding. When questioned about particular financial transactions, he admitted receiving a substantial sum of $664,000 from the prestigious CEFC Energy company.
The New York Post claims that CEFC, formerly China’s top private energy provider, will go bankrupt in 2020.
“I started a company [in 2017] called Hudson West, your Honor, and my partner was associated with a Chinese energy company called CEFC,” According to court transcripts Fox was able to get, Hunter stated.
“Who was your partner?” Noreika questioned the judge.
“I don’t know how to spell his name, Yi Jianming is the chairman of that company,” President’s son answered.
In a June 2017 email to “Chairman Ye,” which The Post received, Hunter Biden made him an offer. “Best wishes from the entire Biden family as well as my partners.”
According to the Post, Yi was taken into detention by Chinese police in 2018 and hasn’t been seen since.

Hunter was questioned further by Noreika over the payments, asking: “$664,000 from a Chinese infrastructure investment company — is that one of the companies we’ve already talked about?”
“I believe so, yes, Your Honor,” Hunter answered. “I believe CEFC.”
The accusations made by his father are clearly refuted by Hunter Biden’s admission that he received compensation. Joe Biden has maintained time and time again that he and his son have never made money off of China.
“I have never discussed, with my son or my brother or with anyone else, anything having to do with their businesses. Period,” In August 2019, according to Politico, Joe Biden made a statement. “… I never talked with my son or my brother or anyone else — even distant family — about their business interests.”
During a discussion with then-President Donald Trump in October 2020, Biden added: “My son has not made money in terms of this thing about – what are you talking about — China.”
“The only guy who made money from China is this guy,” Trump, Biden stated while pointing. “He’s the only one. Nobody else has made money from China.”
