In a recent interview with Fox News, the president of the Border Patrol Council, Brandon Judd, commented on Joe Biden’s upcoming trip to the US-Mexico border, calling it just a “photo-op.” Mr. Judd feels the president is merely there to put on a show, not to provide any real changes or remedies at this dangerous point of entry.
When he left for Mexico City on Sunday, Vice President Biden got the opportunity to see the southern border up close. Vice President Biden arrived on Monday afternoon and spoke to media on migration on Wednesday, saying that he wanted “peace and security.”

Judd pointed out that the President was uninformed of the severity of the situation since he only saw parts of the US-Mexico border where everything seemed to be in order.
“He could have gone to where the apprehensions were taking place and he could’ve done it from a safe distance. But he could have seen exactly the problem that he caused. He refused to do that,” Judd said. “Again, he knew that the mainstream media was gonna come down there.”
“He wanted to give the mainstream media a version of what he wanted, to paint the picture that he wanted for the American public,” the border patrol union leader continued. “And by doing that, the American public says, ‘Oh look, there’s nothing going on.’ It’s amazing — when I travel around the country — it’s amazing how few people actually know what’s going on on the border.”
“Unless the mainstream media calls him out, unless the political watchdogs are where they need to be, we’re just not going to get a full scope of what’s going on on the border,” he added.
Despite requests for more openness on the situation at our country’s borders, President [Name] has been unable to provide insightful commentary on this critical matter.
“It was all for a photoshoot, it was a photo-op, and nothing more than that,” Judd said.
He continued by criticizing Democrats for doing nothing to protect the border and neglecting to prioritize the “safety and security” of the nation. Rep. Pramila Jayapal, a Democrat from Washington, said on MSNBC on Sunday that Republicans were attempting to “villainize” undocumented immigrants who come the nation in search “for a better life.”
After Fox News anchor John Roberts presented the Jayapal tape, Judd said, “[Democrats] don’t want to do anything about [the migration crisis],” Judd continued by stating that the Border Patrol Council is “not a political organization.” and has “supported Democrats in the past.”
“What we care about is we care about the safety and security of the American people,” he said. “The safety and security of our homeland. That’s what we care about. It’s not political football talking about immigrants. We’re talking about illegal immigration. We support legal immigration. The vast majority of the American people support legal immigration. This is illegal immigration, and unfortunately Congresswoman Jayapal refuses to address that issue.”
Two well-known Democratic representatives said in interviews on Sunday that they believed the border problem required immediate action from President Biden’s administration. Veronica Escobar of Texas and Ro Khanna of California both addressed this pressing issue during visits with Judd Legum on his news show.
President Biden was invited to visit the border in December by Democratic Texas Rep. Henry Cuellar to hear firsthand tales of the escalating catastrophe at America’s doorstep.
