WATCH: Leftists Threaten Journalist After Hit-and-Run

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

“They just stole my camera,” Sortor said after the vehicle escaped.

Instead of help or concern from bystanders, Sortor was met with open hostility. A man aggressively approached him, screaming, “That’s what the fck you wanted, right? That’s what the fck you wanted, right?”

The verbal assault continued as the man followed Sortor down the street, shouting, “Man, listen, motherfcker, you better get the fck up out of here. Fcking coward. Motherfcker, you a coward b*tch.”

Video and eyewitness accounts show several other left-wing activists surrounding Sortor and fellow journalist Cam Higby, recording them with their phones while screaming insults and attempting to intimidate them. Not a single person intervened to help after the robbery or during the assault.

Sortor later detailed the attack in a post on X, writing:

“A group of Somali thugs just ROBBED me of my $1,000 camera in the Cedar Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis

They then DRAGGED ME DOWN THE STREET as my hand got trapped in their door handle

NOBODY bothered helping

DHS MUST RAID THIS PLACE!”

The disturbing footage quickly went viral, prompting a response from federal authorities. Shortly after the video surfaced, the FBI acknowledged the incident publicly. “We’re on it,” the agency responded on X.

This latest attack is not an isolated incident. Just one week earlier, Sortor was targeted while reporting on a violent leftist riot outside an ICE facility in Minneapolis. That situation quickly escalated into chaos as agitators surrounded his vehicle.

As previously reported, rioters vandalized Sortor’s car with spray paint, smashed the windows with frozen water bottles, and issued death threats—all while he and Higby were trapped inside. Fearing for their lives, Sortor made the decision to escape through the hostile crowd.

“I was forced to drive away to save our lives, repeatedly warning those standing in front to GET OUT OF THE WAY,” he said in an X post. “They didn’t listen, so I had no choice but to go anyway.”

Despite being the victim, Sortor was later detained by police after rioters falsely claimed that he and Higby were armed. The pattern is becoming unmistakable: conservative journalists are attacked, threatened, and then treated as suspects—while their aggressors melt back into the crowd.

The Minneapolis incidents underscore a broader national trend where radical activists feel emboldened to target reporters they politically oppose, confident that local authorities will do little to protect them. For many conservatives, this raises serious questions about equal protection under the law and the erosion of press freedom when the “wrong” viewpoints are involved.

As of now, the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have not announced arrests or the recovery of the stolen equipment.

This is a developing story.
