WATCH: Brandon Johnson Defends Criminals in Bizarre Rant!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

And then he delivered the line that outraged countless Chicagoans already tired of rising crime.
”It is racist. It is immoral. It is unholy and it is not the way to drive violence down.”

Watch the clip below:

For residents living with daily gunshots, carjackings, and robberies, the mayor’s comments sound detached from reality. Chicago’s crime crisis has been a national embarrassment for years, with hundreds of homicides annually—many involving repeat violent offenders. These tragedies are concentrated largely in the South and West Sides, communities devastated by gang activity, shootings, and a revolving door justice system that frequently releases dangerous individuals right back onto the streets.

Yet instead of fighting crime with tougher enforcement, Johnson continues pushing radical proposals that critics say would make the city even more dangerous. Ending prisons appears to be yet another entry on the mayor’s growing list of ideological experiments.

Public safety isn’t Johnson’s only battlefield. He has aggressively fought against immigration enforcement as well, even attacking federal officers carrying out duties mandated under federal law. His hostility to immigration enforcement reached a fever pitch recently when a reporter used the term “illegal alien” during a press briefing. Rather than addressing the substance of the question, Johnson unleashed on the reporter.

“We don’t have illegal aliens. I don’t know if that’s from some sort of sci-fi message that you wish to add,” Johnson snapped.

He then made a stunning comparison between the legal definition of illegal presence and the historical enslavement of African Americans.
“The legal term for my people were slaves. You want me to use that term, too? Look, let’s just get the language right.”

Johnson insisted that calling someone an illegal alien was racist, offensive, and unacceptable in his administration.
”We’re talking about undocumented individuals that are human beings,” he continued.
”The last thing that I’m going to do is accept the type of racist, nasty language to describe human beings.”

Meanwhile, President Trump has repeatedly blasted both Johnson and Governor Pritzker, accusing them of undermining law enforcement and refusing to protect federal officers carrying out their duties. Trump has even suggested that their refusal to cooperate with federal authorities amounts to criminal negligence. According to the former president, the two leaders should be held to the same legal standard they claim to oppose. He has openly argued that their failure to safeguard federal agents could warrant prosecution.

Chicagoans are left wondering how much longer their city can survive leadership that seems more focused on political activism than on stopping criminals. With violent crime still tearing through communities, the mayor’s latest remarks may be remembered as yet another sign that City Hall is moving further away from the needs of the people it is supposed to protect.
