Video Shows Innocent Man Shot While Filming ICE

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

According to the newly circulated video, the confrontation began when one individual forcefully shoved another person, sending them to the ground. Federal agents immediately moved in to de escalate the situation. What followed was a chaotic struggle involving two individuals as agents attempted to gain control.

Within seconds, one person was subdued. The other individual continued to resist, refusing to comply with commands and fighting efforts to restrain him. Roughly one minute into the video, gunshots can be heard. Moments later, federal agents back away from the scene, leaving one man motionless on the pavement.

A separate video angle, reportedly filmed by a woman standing on the sidewalk, appears to capture the same moment from another perspective. That clip further contradicts claims that the shooting was unprovoked or random.

NBC News later identified the man who was killed as Alex Pretti, a 37 year old ICU nurse. Despite his profession, authorities say his actions during the incident posed a lethal threat to officers on the scene.

Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino explained the agency’s response during a Saturday press conference, emphasizing that agents attempted to disarm Pretti before resorting to deadly force.

“The agents attempted to disarm the individual, but he violently resisted. Fearing for his life and the safety of fellow officers, a Border Patrol agent fired defensive shots,” Bovino said, according to Fox News.

The Department of Homeland Security later confirmed that Pretti was armed at the time of the confrontation. Images posted by DHS on X showed a loaded firearm along with additional magazines that agents say were found on him.

President Donald Trump weighed in on the incident through a lengthy Truth Social post, blasting Minnesota political leaders and questioning why local law enforcement was not permitted to assist federal officers.

“This is the gunman’s gun, loaded (with two additional full magazines!), and ready to go — What is that all about? Where are the local Police? Why weren’t they allowed to protect ICE Officers? The Mayor and the Governor called them off?” Trump wrote.

“It is stated that many of these Police were not allowed to do their job, that ICE had to protect themselves — Not an easy thing to do!” he wrote.

Trump went further, arguing that the unrest surrounding the shooting is being used to distract from what he described as widespread corruption and financial fraud in Minnesota.

“Much of what you’re witnessing is a COVER UP for this Theft and Fraud. The Mayor and the Governor are inciting Insurrection, with their pompous, dangerous, and arrogant rhetoric!” he wrote.

The former president also claimed that massive sums of taxpayer money have gone missing under Democratic leadership, tying the controversy to broader allegations of fraud and border failures.

“Instead, these sanctimonious political fools should be looking for the Billions of Dollars that has been stolen from the people of Minnesota, and the United States of America. LET OUR ICE PATRIOTS DO THEIR JOB! 12,000 Illegal Alien Criminals, many of them violent, have been arrested and taken out of Minnesota. If they were still there, you would see something far worse than you are witnessing today,” he continued.

Trump concluded by singling out Representative Ilhan Omar and demanding accountability.

“Why does Ilhan Omar have $34 Million Dollars in her account? And where are the Tens of Billions of Dollars that have been stolen from the once Great State of Minnesota? We are there because of massive Monetary Fraud, with Billions of Dollars missing, and Illegal Criminals that were allowed to infiltrate the State through the Democrats’ Open Border Policy,” Trump said.

“We want the money back, and we want it back, NOW. Those Fraudsters who stole the money are going to jail, where they belong! This is no different than a really big Bank Robbery,” Trump wrote.

As investigations continue, the newly released video is already reshaping public perception of the Minneapolis shooting, raising fresh doubts about activist driven narratives and reinforcing federal officials’ claims that the use of force was a last resort in a rapidly escalating and dangerous situation.
