“Unbelievable!” Utah School District Faces Unprecedented Bible Ban

In Utah, a school system is now involved in a controversy that is dividing the locals. A loud parent on the far-Left has asked for the Holy Bible to be removed from school grounds, which is the source of the dispute. Although this choice has not yet been made, it has prompted a crucial discussion concerning the display of religion in public schools.

The Davis County School District received a request from a parent to examine the Holy Bible on the grounds that it is “one of the most sex-ridden books around,” According to The Salt Lake Tribune.

“Incest, onanism, bestiality, prostitution, genital mutilation, fellatio, dildos, rape, and even infanticide,” The Holy Bible contains the things about which the father complained.

The father went so far as to say that there are “no serious values for minors” in the Bible.

“You’ll no doubt find that the Bible, under Utah Code Ann. § 76-10-1227, has ‘no serious values for minors’ because it’s pornographic by our new definition.”

A brave parent made the bold claim that any literature containing “pornographic or indecent” material must be removed from schools under a recent Utah statute. This extraordinary step has prompted a contentious discussion regarding free speech restrictions and censorship. Watch this space to see how this plays out.

The parent also disparaged a conservative parent organization that campaigns to have sexually explicit books removed from Utah libraries, labeling them “Utah Parents United” a “white supremacist hate group.”

“Ceding our children’s education, First Amendment Rights, and library access to a white supremacist hate group like Utah Parents United seems like a wonderful idea,” The parent’s writing was ironic.

“Get this PORN out of our schools. If the books that have been banned so far are any indication for way lesser offenses, this should be a slam dunk,” The angry parent activist came to a conclusion.

A representative for the Davis County School District said that their committee carefully considers each request submitted to the district. While they work to make the greatest choices for the community, they listen to you and take you seriously. You may be confident that they treat each request with the highest regard and care. “We don’t differentiate between one request and another. We see that as the work that we do,” Christopher Williams said.

“We don’t jump to conclusions, we go through the entire process. We don’t blow off one request because we think it’s silly,” he told ABC4.

A worried parent made a request on December 11th asking for the Bible to be taught in their child’s classroom. Although the review procedure usually takes 60 days, the committee has been bombarded with many requests for book reviews. You may be confident that they are making every effort to handle your request with the highest care and regard.

Republican state representative Ken Ivory of Utah mocked the parent’s plea as a stunt. “that drains school resources.”

“There was a purpose to the bill and this kind of stuff, it’s very unfortunate. There are any number of studies that directly link sexualization and hyper-sexualization with sexual exploitation and abuse. Certainly, those are things we don’t want in schools,” Rep. Ivory said.

The state representative implied that the parent’s complaint was a small-minded plot to make fun of the legislation.
