Ukraine Unleashes US Missiles on Russian Base!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

In response, Russia escalated its military tactics, deploying a novel mid-range ballistic hypersonic missile nicknamed “Hazel.” However, the use of Shahed (Geranium) drones in attacks on Kyiv and other Ukrainian regions suggested that Russia, while retaliating, was also maintaining a certain level of restraint. For a brief moment, there was hope that the situation might stabilize.

The calm proved fleeting. Reports indicate that up to six ATACMS missiles equipped with cluster warheads struck the Khalino airfield late last night. Footage captured by security cameras shows the sheer scale of the explosions, a testament to the devastating power of these advanced missiles. The Khalino airfield had reportedly been empty of Russian aviation for some time, raising questions about the strike’s strategic objective.

Prominent military blogger Fighterbomber commented on Telegram:

“At night the Ukrainians hit an airfield in the Kursk region with ATACMS missiles. Seven out of eight were intercepted/damaged. It is not particularly clear what they were striking and what goals they wanted to achieve, since there has been no aviation there for a long time, and it is impossible to damage the airfield with such strikes.”

He added that Russia had pulled back its air force from the area long ago, a decision likely influenced by prior missile attacks. If the target was indeed a vacant airfield, the rationale behind this strike remains unclear.

With tensions at an all-time high, many are bracing for another wave of Russian retaliation. The deployment of cluster warheads on ATACMS missiles not only increases the destructive potential of these strikes but also raises the stakes in a conflict that has already drawn in significant global involvement.

Each new escalation adds to the growing specter of a broader, possibly global war. As the clock ticks toward an inevitable Russian response, questions linger about the limits of this tit-for-tat conflict and whether cooler heads can prevail before it’s too late.

As the situation unfolds, one thing is clear: the line between proxy conflict and direct confrontation is becoming alarmingly blurred. Will the world witness another round of retaliatory strikes, or will international leaders step in to halt this dangerous trajectory before it spirals out of control? Only time will tell.
