Tucker Carlson replies to court documents that show prosecutors knew George Floyd’s death wasn’t a murder but nevertheless pursued charges because of public opinion and the worry of further violence.
Following Floyd’s passing, nationwide riots in May 2020 caused billions of dollars’ worth of property damage and nearly 20 fatalities. Floyd’s frantic pleas of “I can’t breathe” were captured on disturbing video as he was being detained by four Minneapolis Police officers.
The intense pressure Hennepin County prosecutors experienced to bring charges against Derrick Chauvin and his three former coworkers from the Minneapolis police force has just come to light through sworn evidence from those prosecutors. According to a report by Alpha News, a prosecutor and other members of the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office withdrew from the case on worries that charging the other three officers went against their moral and professional obligations.
Tucker Carlson discussed recent developments in the most recent Tucker on X episode. He emphasized how George Floyd’s passing had a significant impact on American society, noting how theft laws were relaxed, police funding was cut, Juneteenth was declared a holiday, efforts were made to diversify corporate America by barring the hiring of white men, and most significantly, Derek Chauvin, the former police officer involved in the incident, was found guilty and given a sentence of more than 40 years in prison.
“He would be the racist white devil who murdered George Floyd. But the question is, did he actually murder George Floyd? And the answer is, well, no, he didn’t murder George Floyd. And we’re not guessing about that. We know it conclusively, thanks to a new court case now underway in Hennepin County, Minnesota. The case was brought by a prosecutor there called Amy Sweezy. She’s suing her boss,” Carlson continued.
Medical examiners determined that strangulation or asphyxia were not Floyd’s causes of death, according to the lawsuit.
“In other words, George Floyd, according to the official autopsy, was not murdered. He died instead of what we used to call natural causes, which in his case would include decades of drug use, as well as the fatal concentration of fentanyl that was in his system on his final day. So this was not a killing. It was yet another narcotics OD in a country that courts more than 100,000 of them every year,” Carlson said.
“The medical examiner clearly understood that and in fact articulated it. And Sweezy explains, he said to me, she recalls in the deposition, Amy, what happens when the actual evidence doesn’t match up with the public narrative that everyone’s already decided on? And then he said, quote, this is the kind of case that ends careers. In other words, everyone lied about it from the very beginning. The people who knew the truth hid the truth and allowed the revolution to proceed.”
