The national spotlight has swung back onto the mysterious figure at the center of last year’s near assassination of President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. Tucker Carlson lit the fuse this week by unveiling new allegations and footage that directly contradict federal officials. Hours later, FBI Director Kash Patel rushed out a rebuttal, insisting the bureau did nothing wrong.

Carlson hinted the explosion was coming. On Thursday, he warned that the FBI had not been honest about Thomas Crooks, the gunman who almost changed the course of American history. Carlson wrote, “The FBI told us Thomas Crooks tried to kill Donald Trump last summer but somehow had no online footprint. The FBI lied, and we can prove it … Story tomorrow.”
Carlson delivered on Friday morning with a 34 minute report. He opened with a blistering accusation that the government has intentionally kept Americans in the dark. “Thomas Crooks came within a quarter inch of destroying this country, and yet, a year and a half later, we still know almost nothing about him or why he did it. That’s because, for some reason, the FBI, even the current FBI, doesn’t want us to know,” Carlson said.
