The son of billionaire George Soros and current leader of the left-leaning Open Society Foundation, Alex Soros, has one focus for the forthcoming election, should former President Donald Trump win the GOP nomination: to defeat him.
In an opinion piece for Politico, Alex Soros underscores how vital it is for the left-wing movement’s continuous operations in Europe to defeat Trump. Their main objective is to undermine and undermine the continent’s historic democratic system founded on principles, a mission that George Soros has successfully undertaken in the US over the years.

“As someone who spends up to half their time working on the Continent and thinks former United States President Donald Trump — or at least someone with his isolationist and anti-European policies — will be the Republican nominee, I believe a MAGA-style Republican victory in next year’s U.S. presidential election could, in the end, be worse for the EU than for the U.S.,” In part, Alex Soros wrote.
“Such an outcome will imperil European unity and undermine the progress achieved on many fronts in response to the war in Ukraine,” He proceeded by promising financial assistance for the fight against Trump: “We are adapting [Open Society Foundations] to be able to respond to whatever scenarios might emerge, on both sides of the Atlantic.”
Alex Soros promises to continue funding the Ukrainian charity that was a major supporter of the influential Orange Revolution and Maidan revolt.
“[T]here should be absolutely no doubt that we will continue to support our foundation in Ukraine. We are proud that the network of civil society groups it has assisted, with over $250 million since 2014, has played such an important role in Kyiv’s resilience in the face of Russia’s horrific war of aggression,” he wrote.
The OSF’s newest initiative in the US is to provide funding to far-left district attorneys who favor alternative methods of law enforcement and prosecution over more conventional ones. These Democratic-backed politicians support “bail reform” and other policies that some contend have led to an increase in crime in big cities.
In his mid-August campaign film, Trump takes aim at the well-known figure of the senior Soros.

And to that end, I will appoint US attorneys who will be the polar opposite of the Soros district attorneys and others that are being appointed throughout the United States. Very unfair to our population, very unfair to our country,” Trump declared.

The attorneys Trump promised to nominate would be “the most ferocious legal warriors against crime and communist corruption that this country has ever seen.”
“As we completely overhaul the Federal Department of Justice and FBi, we will launch sweeping civil rights investigations into Marxist local district attorneys. And that’s what we have, they’re Marxist in many cases. By refusing to charge countless crimes, the Soros prosecutors appear to be engaging in selective enforcement based on illegal radical discrimination,” he said.
“In addition, we will have a complete investigation into the use of police state tactics by federal authorities to arrest conservatives and Christians. We will find out who ordered it and hold them totally accountable,” remarked the previous president.
“There is much more that we must to, we have to confront this radicalized law in schools… we have to reform the far-left bar associations and stop the purge of conservative lawyers from major law firms,” Trump continued. “I will do whatever it takes to save our legal system, among the greatest achievements of Western civilization, from the Marxist barbarians who seek to destroy it, and we will do that. We will save it.”
