In opposition to the actions of the Biden administration, former President Donald Trump has urged states around the United States to join Texas in securing its borders. In a statement on Thursday, President Joe Biden came under fire from Trump for not doing enough to protect the US border, referring to the situation as a “National Security, Public Safety, and Public Health Catastrophe.”
In the stalemate between the governor of Texas and the Biden administration, Trump demands action. With the support of Republican governors, Abbott invokes the Invasion Clause of the Constitution to fight the influx of illegal migrants.

“When I was President, we had the most secure Border in History,” wrote Trump. “Joe Biden has surrendered our Border, and is aiding and abetting a massive Invasion of millions of Illegal Migrants into the United States. “Instead of fighting to protect our Country from this onslaught, Biden is, unbelievably, fighting to tie the hands of Governor Abbott and the State of Texas, so that the Invasion continues unchecked.”
Trump continued, “When I am President, on Day One, instead of fighting Texas, I will work hand in hand with Governor Abbott and other Border States to Stop the Invasion, Seal the Border, and Rapidly Begin the Largest Domestic Deportation Operation in History. Republican governors respond to Trump’s request, led by Governors Ron DeSantis of Florida and Kristi Noem of South Dakota. These governors have promised to provide Texas the support it needs. In line with Trump’s worries, DeSantis criticized the Biden administration for flouting the law and obstructing state initiatives to protect the border.
Governors Noem and Kevin Stitt of Oklahoma also backed Texas, pointing to an expanding group of states rejecting Biden’s border policy.
Governor Abbott has made a strong statement, calling on the federal government to stop meddling with state-level border security measures and deploying the Texas National Guard. Democratic leaders have criticized the action, claiming Abbott is playing politics and putting American citizens and asylum seekers in danger.
Representative Greg Casar (D-TX) and former Representative Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) have called for immediate federal involvement, drawing comparisons between Abbott’s actions and those of historical individuals who disobeyed federal authority.

Abbott made a strong statement on Wednesday reiterating Texas’ constitutional right to self-defense. “President Biden has refused to enforce those laws and has even violated them, leading to record numbers in illegal immigration,” said Abbott. He mentioned that there had been over 6 million unauthorized border crossings in the last three years, causing unparalleled devastation to the country.

The goal of Governor Abbott’s Operation Lone Star is to use razor wire installations to restrict illegal immigration. As part of this strategy, migrants were detained on trespassing charges and sent to cities run by Democrats. These activities, according to the Biden administration, obstruct federal agents and violate federal statutes.
The President is favored when the Supreme Court narrowly rules against wire installation.
