Trump Train Members CLEARED!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Throughout the trial, the plaintiffs accused the Trump supporters of assault, voter intimidation, and violating state and federal laws, including the Enforcement Act of 1871, commonly known as the Ku Klux Klan Act. The law was enacted to protect black voters from political violence during Reconstruction. The plaintiffs, which included the Biden-Harris campaign bus driver, former Texas state Senator Wendy Davis, and campaign staff, claimed the convoy’s actions were an attempt to intimidate them and disrupt the campaign. Davis, in particular, said she felt as though she was being “taken hostage in a way.”

The plaintiffs alleged that Cisneros, the driver of a pickup truck involved in the collision, had acted recklessly. However, his attorney argued that it was the campaign staff member driving the white SUV who had initiated the crash. Video evidence showed the SUV swerving between lanes before the collision.

Steve and Randi Ceh, who ran a Facebook page organizing Trump parades in the New Braunfels area, were dragged into the lawsuit nearly a year and a half after the incident. The Cehs believe they were targeted because of their role in organizing local Trump Train events. Steve Ceh, who is also a pastor, described the case as an attempt to silence those who oppose the mainstream political narrative. “I don’t want my grandkids to grow up in a Marxist society, and right now it’s leaning that way,” he stated.

Randi Ceh added that she was painted as a ringleader due to her administrator role on the Facebook page, which at the time had over 5,000 followers. “I was asked… to make a post that the Biden bus was coming through and if anybody wanted to peacefully follow it, they could,” she explained. “And so I put the post out, went to work and found out later that I was going to be sued for being mission control.”

The Cehs and Mesaros were represented by Citizens Defending Freedom, a nonprofit legal group. They compared their treatment to the legal challenges faced by former President Donald Trump, who has been the target of multiple indictments in the run-up to the 2024 election. Mesaros described the legal process as biased and politically motivated. “We’re getting the same treatment that President Trump does,” she told Fox News, adding that their rights to free speech were being “watered down” by the courts.

The case has drawn national attention, with many seeing it as part of a broader effort to target Trump supporters through lawfare. Despite the challenges, the defendants remained defiant, expressing gratitude for the support they received throughout the legal battle. Mesaros concluded, “They couldn’t have imagined that God would sustain us in this fight and we would prevail.”
