In a high-profile meeting at Trump Tower, former President Donald Trump and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky sat down to discuss a potential end to the ongoing war in Ukraine. This marks their first face-to-face interaction since 2019, just weeks ahead of the U.S. presidential election. Trump, who has often positioned himself as a leader capable of restoring global stability, expressed confidence in his ability to bring the conflict to a swift conclusion.
With only 37 days until the presidential election, Trump emphasized that if he wins, he will work quickly to resolve the war that has ravaged Ukraine. “We’re going to work very much with both parties to try and get this settled and get it worked out. It has to end at some point. It has to end. He’s gone through hell. His country has gone through hell like few countries have ever… Nobody’s ever seen anything like it. It’s a terrible situation,” Trump said while sitting beside Zelensky.

And I think if we win, I think we’re going to get it resolved very quickly.”
