A Routine DMV Visit Turns Into a Federal Operation

On Good Friday, a surge of tractor-trailer drivers flooded a DMV office in West Kittanning, a quiet community in Armstrong County. The unusually large crowd didn’t go unnoticed.

One local observer, firefighter Zach Scherer, saw what was happening and started making calls. He contacted local authorities and federal agencies, pushing the situation up the chain until it got attention.
