One of the rare exceptions is back in the spotlight, and his latest forecast is making even hardened Trump supporters stop and listen.
Peter Schiff, the economist long mocked for his doomsday tone but vindicated during the housing crash, says the United States is once again barreling toward serious trouble.
A familiar voice sounds the alarm again
Appearing on Fox Business, Schiff delivered a warning that cut through the usual market optimism.
“We are headed for [an] economic crisis, again, that will make the 2008 financial crisis look like a Sunday school picnic,” Schiff told host Liz Claman.
Schiff’s timing raised eyebrows as gold prices pushed to new highs. To him, that surge is not good news.
