Terrifying Details From The Idaho Alleged Killer

Bryan Kohberger was refused bail on Thursday as the case against him in the killings in Moscow, Idaho became stronger. His involvement in the crime has been confirmed by DNA found on a knife sheath at the tragic residence and an eyewitness report of a man wearing a mask and all-black clothing.

If found guilty of the terrible crimes on November 13 that cruelly claimed the lives of four Idaho children — Maddie Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin — Kohberger may be sentenced to death. Kohberger insists on his innocence despite these accusations. The Daily Mail provides facts about this serious crime, which has rocked the foundations of a whole neighborhood.

In this mounting tragedy, Dylan Mortensen, the victim’s surviving roommate, was able to provide a crucial piece of evidence: an eyewitness testimony. Dylan described hearing someone sob and Goncalves saying, “There’s someone here,” before describing the suspect’s appearance as having “bushy eyebrows.” When police release their 19-page affidavit on this case, it will be clear how far these disclosures go in revealing the truth.

The DoorDash order placed by Xana Kernodle arrived at her door only minutes before tragedy struck, serving as an ominous prelude to the bloody slaughter that shortly followed.

“Further details on Kohberger’s alleged stalking of his victims was shared. His phone was found to have been in the vicinity of their Moscow home 12 times before the November murders, starting in mid-August,” Daily Mail reported.

The revealing piece of evidence, a tan leather knife sheath with USMC and “KA-BAR” insignias that contained incriminating DNA that implicated Kohberger, was discovered at the scene of the crime. This crucial piece of information was discovered by Officer Payne next to the remains of Maddie Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves on a modest single bed. It helped investigators bring them to justice for their terrible deaths.

“I noticed what appeared to be a tan leather knife sheath laying on the bed next to Mogen’s right side (when viewed from the door). The sheath was later processed and had ‘Ka-Bar’ ‘USMC’ and the United States Marine Corps eagle globe and anchor insignia stamped on the outside of it. The Idaho state lab later located a single source of male DNA (suspect Profile) left on the button snap of the knife sheath,” Payne noted.

Police identified Kohberger’s Pennsylvania nest and his white Hyundai Elantra as further evidence after discovering a DNA match.

On December 27, a DNA sample taken from the garbage at his house yielded strong proof when it revealed a match to the weapon’s sheath.

Dylan Mortensen awakened to the terrifying sight of an intruder in her house at a gloomy 4:20 in the morning. Tragically, she had been there when crime was committed that morning.

She heard crying, Goncalves saying, “There’s someone here,” and a man’s voice saying, “It’s OK. I’m going to help you.”

Martensen spotted the guy in the ski mask going “towards her” when she opened the door to her bedroom at that time. She stood still as she only saw him go out of a sliding door. Then, as stated in the affidavit, she shut herself in her bedroom.

It is unclear why she did not call 911 right away.

Living just eight miles from a tragic murder gave Kohberger, a criminology Ph.D. candidate at the University of Washington’s Pullman campus, a unique perspective on his research.
